Pro DJ Link monitor · for Windows

See every deck.
Light every drop.

LinkDeck shows the waveforms, tempo and song structure of every player in the booth on one screen, and sends beat-accurate cues to your lighting console – grandMA2, grandMA3 or any desk that takes commands over Telnet or OSC. Built by a lighting programmer for shows where the DJ plays and the light has to follow.

Features

Everything the booth knows, on your desk

Waveforms

Three-band, all players

Lows, mids and highs in their own colours, a scrolling detail view and the whole track at a glance. Twelve waveform looks, from the ShowKontrol and CDJ-3000 styles to bass focus, three layouts, and smooth at the refresh rate of your screen.

Song structure

Know the drop before it lands

Intro, build, drop, break and outro from rekordbox phrase analysis. When a USB stick has no phrase data, LinkDeck estimates the sections from the track itself.

IntroBuildDropBreak
Console

Cues to your console

Commands on beat, bar and section changes – over Telnet or OSC to grandMA2, grandMA3 and other consoles: go executors, tap the speed masters to the master BPM, follow the deck that is on air. A live log shows every command and every answer from the desk.

Auto light

Learns how you busk

LinkDeck records your sessions, sees which executors you press in which part of a track, and can take over in the same style. Limit it to dedicated pages or let it use everything you use yourself.

Simulator

Program without players

Drop MP3, WAV, FLAC, AIFF, M4A or MP4 files onto a deck – full DJ sets of several hours included. LinkDeck analyses tempo, beat grid and structure, plays them through your sound card and drives the console exactly like a live set.

Auto DJ & video

A set that plays itself

Pick a folder or playlist: LinkDeck beat-matches and mixes it across up to four decks and starts again at the end. Music videos play in sync, side by side with the decks or full screen with the waveforms on top.

Replay

Play last night again

Every show is recorded. Play it back on the decks – tracks, mixes and tempo as they happened, faster if you like – and check or improve your programming the next day.

Diagnostics

See network trouble first

Latency, packet loss and data age on every deck, flicker filtering for unstable ON AIR flags, packet traces and a debug log. When something goes wrong at 3 a.m., you see which device and why.

Read-only by design

Your DJ never notices it

LinkDeck joins the Pro DJ Link network as a listener. It never controls a player or the mixer, so you can plug into a running booth without asking the DJ to change anything.

  • No commands to players or mixer. No sync, no fader start, no track loading.
  • All player numbers stay free. LinkDeck uses its own device number.
  • Output goes only to your lighting console. Over Telnet or OSC, to an address you set.

Setup

On the network in minutes

Plug into the booth switch

Same switch as the players and the mixer. No DHCP needed: LinkDeck works with the link-local addresses the players give themselves.

Start LinkDeck

Allow it in the Windows firewall for private networks. Players appear on their own, with waveforms as soon as a track is loaded.

Connect your console

Enter the console's IP – Telnet login for grandMA2, OSC port for grandMA3. Pick the executors and speed masters, and LinkDeck follows the music.

FAQ

Questions from the booth

Does LinkDeck change anything on the players?

No. It only listens to the Pro DJ Link network and reads track data. All commands go to your lighting console and nowhere else.

Do I need rekordbox or a ShowKontrol license?

No. LinkDeck reads everything it needs from the players on the network. Tracks prepared in rekordbox with phrase analysis give the best song structure.

How many players can it show?

Up to six players at once – everything the CDJ-3000 supports on one Pro DJ Link network – plus the mixer.

Can I use it without CDJs?

Yes. The simulator plays audio and video files from your computer on virtual decks and sends the same console commands as in a live set – by hand, as an Auto DJ, or as a replay of a recorded show. Ideal for programming at home.

Which lighting consoles are supported?

Any console that accepts commands over Telnet or OSC: grandMA2 over Telnet, grandMA3 over OSC, and other desks with a remote command line.

Does it need a powerful laptop?

Any recent Windows laptop with a wired network port is fine. The view runs smoothly at the refresh rate of your screen.
